Final post for trip 3

So, after Emma headed back I had a day or so before my flight home, and a day left on my rail pass, so I decided to take a trip all the way out to Kyoto for the day and see what Eikando looked like, and also grab a few shots of Nishiki market, since I'd been so lax previously...

Nishiki Market:

So I guess it wasn't a complete wash on the Autumn leaf front:

Although, you want to check out want Eikando looked like the day before I posted this post:

Autumn Leaves

Ostensibly the purpose of the trip was to experience Japan in autumn.
Which means beautiful autumn leaves in vibrant colours.

Here we see a selection of the most vibrant red and yellow trees seen through out the trip.

at least that one guy is trying.

Kyoto is having a bit of a go.

The garden in the Fuji Ryokan might be the most non-green trees in one location

So that was autumn in Japan...

Orokana Imouto

In all my travels, I have never seen anyone that takes this many photos...

Photos of food

photos of crowds

photos of boats

photos of popcorn

I photo the darkness!

photos of lights

Time to break out the serious camera for serious photos

photos of art

photos of bridges

photos of water

Even when she can't see, she's still taking photos.

photos of shrines.

So many shrines...
photos of mountains

photos of deer
photos of cats.
The cat is not having a bar of it...
Not pictured: camera being attacked by cat

"I need a photo of the bear phone number too,
so I can ring it when the bear eats you"
here she can been seen taking a photo of a guy taking a photo of a wedding.

She thinks she's taking a photo of me taking a photo of her.
But actually, I'm taking a photo of her taking a photo of me taking a photo of her.

A photo of Emma on a bridge taking a photo of me on a bridge.

Even the Japanese started to queue up to take photos of her taking photos of things.
(this is the bridge I was standing on in the previous shot)
And the selfies. So many selfies...

Taking a selfie with the whale shark, next to a Japanese woman

the lamest selfie ever

it seems she does have some priorities however.
