Beaver "Lake"

We got up bright and late the next morning and went for a walk.

First stop was Stanley Park. It's kind of like the botanic gardens if instead of well tended flowers and such, someone put untamed forest in the middle of Melbourne.

A fountain in a lake.
The magic of the zoom function.
There are some flowers.
But it mostly looks like this.
Fooled you all, we never even left Australia.

The vegetation here is so lazy.

A map of the park.

We'v e decided to go to Beaver Lake

Panorama of  Beaver "Lake"

Ducks slurping mud (note that they are walking not swimming).

Some one has helpfully written "Bring beaver back" under the heading.
While this would certainly make things more Beaver-y, perhaps bringing
the lake back might be a better first step.

A big tree

Vertical Panorama of the big tree.

The Vancouver Aquarium. We didn't go.
There was a very long line.
Also, it was $35 a person.

This is a photo of a dozen small geese (or very large ducks).
Well, it would be, but a woman was walking her dog off its leash.
You can just see the dog in front of the bush there after haring in and
scaring off all the deese (gucks?).
We watched as the woman chased her dog all the way to the other side of a nearby freeway.
Good times. Good times.

Our hotel, as seen from afar.
