We had no particular place to be or anything planned, so after sleeping in we wandered over to St Lawrence market to have some breakfast.

Best market in the world pariah |
After that we explored the underground maze of shops beneath Toronto (apparently there are 30 kms of tunnels linking various locations in the city, lined with enough shops to fill Chadstone twice over), but unfortunately it was mostly shut (apparently it shuts down on the weekend).

You are in a maze of twisty little passages all alike. |

The fountain between the closed shops on sub level 2 and the closed food court on sub level 3 |
We did eventually find some shops that were open, as we wandered into a shopping center that is connected to the undercity (It's called
Toronto PATH technically) and stopped for a drink in the food court.

I don't know what I find more worrysome, the 3 "Japanese" meals on the left, or the concept of Bacon Udon Carbonara. |

This is Yonge-Dundas Square. Like Times Square, only not really. |
After that we visited the Royal Ontario Museum. There was a special display about the Forbidden City, but photography was also forbiddden. Other areas included:
 |
An exhibit about endangered species on the verge of extinction, full of stuffed examples of endangered species on the verge of extinction. |
 |
Dinosaur bones! |
 |
Velociraptor! |
 |
Swords longer than I am tall. |
 |
A mummified cat. |
All up we walked about 10 km and my knee was fine with it, so I think I've recovered from my stupidity the other day.
