So that evening Emma arrived. She was delayed by the sheer number of people coming through customs and while she caught the bus in from the airport I passed the time sampling various Japanese whiskies at a bar at the station.
When she arrived, she was understandably hungry. Luckily I had become well acquainted with a local Sushi restaurant that is open 24 hours.

We made a brief stop at Shibuya crossing (which was actually busy this time)
Harijuku station is near Meiji Jingu, a fairly impressive shrine
One of the things you can get at the Shrine is a wooden offering that you write a prayer/wish onto

There was a wedding taking place while we were there
On the way back Emma wanted to see bizarrely dressed teenagers
Sadly, the place is utterly packed, and there are hardly any weirdly dressed teenagers

and looked out over the city as the sun set.
I was trying to figure out what was going on on the top floor of the building opposite, when Emma came over and after I pointed it out she said "Is that girl wearing bunny ears?"
We had vague plans for dinner but changed them to go see what in the building and potentially eat there.
