Hey Hey we're the monkeys!

I awoke the next morning to a little bit of snow

The Ryokan was kind enough to drop me off at the start of the snow monkey path.

It starts off a bit steep

But it is mostly a path that slopes gently upwards

With a fall to certain death off one side

I bought a pair of rubber slip on spike shoe things at the bottom for about $15

There was the odd monkey chilling at the side of the path

There's a small "village" towards the top with a Ryokan, an Onsen, and a restaurant before you hit another set of stairs going up to the monkey park proper.

Monkeys hang out on the walkways and chase each other around

Having caught his prey this monkey begins to feast

These monkeys are stupid and have mistaken a puddle for a hot spring.

What is best in life?

To sit in a hotspring and be snowed on.

I walked back to Yudanaka, at which time it began snowing .

Much more heavily than the day before.

So it was back to the Onsen for me

To sit in hot water and get snowed on.
