Kyoto Day 5

On the fifth morning we went and looked at some more shrines.
A side street in the middle of Kyoto

containing a random shrine

This is a bridge in a garden containing a more well known shrine

so well known it gets two bridges

It has a graveyard

and a Pagoda, halfway up a mountain (it felt like that after all the stairs to get here)
This is the view back down.

We walked down the Philospher's walk to see what it was like at the
opposite end of the year. Much less impressive really.

The cats were still there.

But it was otherwise pretty average.

This torii gate leads into a dark section of forest in the middle of Kyoto

It contains snakes, and an entirely different kind of lethal fungus.
After which we headed to a Ryokan on the shore of lake Biwa for some much needed rest.
The room itself

with on balcony Onsen

The view from the balcony at night
