Stuff I've Eaten - Fukuoka

A Teriyaki roll at Doubtor

And a MTL

Tonkatsu Ramen, a Fukuoka specialy.

Gyoza

Red bean "soup" with Mochi

Irishu Coffee

Green Tea Ice Cream with Mochi

Sake in a bowl, based on a local story about a samurai who a group of people tried to murder by challenging him to drink a bowl full of sake, and then ambushing him when he was drunk. He killed them all with a spear.

Very tender tuna, and a very tough seasnail thing.

slightly pickled mackeral

fish liver (left) and red sea cucumber (right).

Grilled fish head in sake.
I will not have this again.

Beef

Chicken Skin. So delicious I nearly forgot to take a photo.

Pork

Fish and Rice with tea poured over it.

Hibiki Whiskey

A margherita

Roast Ginko nuts.

I saw this.
The sign says something about Australia (possibly just that it is made with Australia cheese), so I decided I needed to try one, just in case I had never heard of the best weird melted cheese cake thing that Australia might have to offer.

The one I ate.
It was nice, but I'm not going to hunt it down if it does exist in Oz.

Hot soup from a vending machine.

I had onion soup while waiting for the train there.

And corn soup while waiting for the train back.

I also had 70 cents worth of prawn sticks to get the taste of the corn soup to go away.

Grilled things as a late afternoon snack, since I had a big dinner coming up, and had only had 2 cans of shitty soup for lunch.

A salad of sorts.

white fish in liver sauce.

Whale.
This was way better than the last time I had it, but it mostly tasted like corned beef.
If I had to go out on a boat and shoot harpoons into giant cows, and the best that I got out of it was corned beef, I'm not sure I'd bother.

Puffer fish. Grilled until it was a creamy goo, and then served with a slightly vinegary sauce.
Delicious.

Uni.

Egg custard with salted plums in it.
This chef is a master. I thought making whale palatable and fugu delicious were marks of skill.
The fact that he managed to make this taste not shit is a feat I will marvel at on my deathbed.

Individual pieces of sushi.

I didn't photograph all of them.

Otoro

Sake

More fish

This looks like an old Chinese children's hairstyle apparently.

Conger eel

I requested another Otoro

Not grapefruit dessert

Tofu

cucumbers with dipping sauce.

GnT

Stingray.
Very sweet, but so chewy it makes beef jerky seem like air.

Matcha Tira Misu

Black forest cake run through a blender.

More Tonkatsu

More Gyoza

Valentine's hot chocolate.

24 ingredient salad

antipasto and wine

Kaluha and hot milk

Baileys and hot milk

A "patron" taco

Magharita
