Stuff I've Seen - Kyoto

Back in Kyoto. Possibly my favourite of the large cities.

Valentines Day is coming up, so the stairs have a bit of a theme going on

There was a bit of a queue for a lottery that was running in the Station

You got one draw for every 2000 Yen spent in participating restaurants.
Every draw wins a prize.
I won!

My prize. A sakura candy.
Mostly I spent my time in Kyoto laying about doing nothing.

I did go to the Lantern Festival in Nara at one point though.

Nara's mascot.

Just outside the station.

Hello deer, I'm back.

The stone lantern shrine has been shown here before:

Getting dark.

Almost dark.

That's what I'm talking about.

There are two lantern festivals a year. This place goes off in summer. In winter, not so much.

There was a crowd gathered around being festive.

After that it was into the green car and off to Tokyo.
