Lunch on the day we arrived was Soba noodles with Tempura
A Matcha Latte to ward off the cold at the festival
Dinner was at a crab restaurant run by an old couple
Crab shabu shabu was the main course
There was also some sashimi
The aforementioned crabu crabu
A crab shumai
The pot doing its thing
crab gratin
steamed crab
crab tempura
The rest of the soup over rice to finish it off
the resulting carnage
Lemon Sour flavored chips.
Could of been worse. They were more pepper with a hint of lemon flavored

I got the drink they were based on to compare.
Not bad as Lemon Sours go. Better than the chips.

Truffle cheese and smoked cheese sticks.
(the smoked cheese sticks were excellent)

Much needed fiber
Rum cake
Decent
Time to try the rolled cake
It wasn't bad, but probably not worth the exorbitant price tag
Dinner that night was at an excellent Sushi place. As the chef was right in front of us, making each piece as we ate it, taking photos seemed rude, so instead have a link to it on Google Maps
There was a starbucks down by the river, which had a lovely scenic view out over a park beside the river, so we sat and watched a guy on a snowmobile making walking tracks in the area and I had a repeat of yesterdays breakfast,
A limited seasonal Sakura drink available in convenience stores
It tastes like strawberry big M (aka sugar in milk) with little pieces of sakura jelly floating at the bottom.
Bento on the train
Emma hastes melon, and accidentally bought these thinking they were Matcha
So I inherited the green ones
More cake from the chocolate factory
Sukiyaki
Boiling the meat in the sauce
Granola and Banana Yoghurt is added the SB breakfast routine
The Doubtor at the station had a Roast Beef and Camembert roll that I was compelled to try, it was pretty good.
