I got to ride on a double decker train carriage (at the bottom sadly)
As a result the photos of the bridge over to the south Island weren't great.
I'll come back to this on the way back.
I'll come back to this on the way back.
Welcome!
Space cat was sitting on top of the building across the road from my hotel.
Most Japanese crosswalks have a series of colored dots that count down the change of the lights
Takamatsu had numbers that updated every 5 seconds.
My favorite part of this was that the last 5 seconds was incredibly innacurate.
(eg. it would go "15" -> 5 seconds pass -> "10" -> 5 seconds pass -> "5" -> about a second and a half at most passes -> [light changes to green])

Takamatsu has a garden that isn't perfect
It was pretty miserable weather the day I was there
The south half of the garden had a recommended path to follow
Apricot trees flowering
Fish
Ducks
A man made waterfall that was created for the visit of the emperor a couple of hundred years back
It started raining
A mossy river bed
A view from a hill across part of the south part of the garden
There were a bunch of hills to view parts of the garden from
A shaded area the fish liked to congregate (they may also get fed here?)
There are names for each of the types of fish pattern
Another hill
The pigeons here aren't particularly scared of people
A duck blind from when the local lord used the garden to hunt ducks
The north side's Apricot grove
Lotus pool
A pair of trees in a field
The duck area
The south end of the north part's duck area
The garden has a small museum
the garden has 8 stamps and a special sheet to collect them all on
inside the museum
just outside the garden
Takamatsu castle is a bit of a trek from the garden
A fish food gatcha machine
food goes in here
and pours out the end of this tube
Takamatsu castle is mostly some remnants and a moat
not much up here but some stones
the moat is quite nice though
and has some fish in it
An outlying gate
and a small castle garden
flowers near the train station
The nearby chemical plant has a Ferris wheel
There is a building near the station with a French restaurant on the 30th floor along with a viewing window
