Stuff I ate in Hakodate

The first night we went out and went to a place that had deceptive photos on the menu making everything look much bigger than it ended up being.

We had a hair crab and a steamed seafood pot that we asked for two of, but got to share (I forgot to take a picture). Rather than order more food we decided to just leave and go somewhere else.

Emma wanted to try the Uni restaurant I went to last time. It was closed again, but it has a second branch that is more "a seafood restaurant" and less "a garage at the back of a fish market we serve food in" which was open.
We had a topped rice bowl plus three appetizers as a combination deal (which was pretty decent as the extra for the combo was only 100 yen more than the price of one of the appetizers by itself)
Pictured are "today's special" (mackerel I think) and Tamago topped with uni with a sauce drizzled over it.

Uni gratin

Uni and ikura rice bowl, miso soup, pickled vegetables.

A close up once the sauce has been poured over it.

Complimentary hotel Breakfast.
Natto is not good.

Second bread.

A surveyless drink

A second survey that I, a valued customer, was asked to fill out, in exchange for a free drink.

Lunch was in the cafe in the observatory.
Lemon tea

Shui mai, crab, squid and scallop, respectively.

Odd wording

A paid for drink, next to a free drink. Can you see the extra deliciousness?

Crab leg shabu shabu

A snow crab and king crab mix

Sake to wash it down

The second day's complimentary breakfast was slightly different fare
