We stopped in at Sapporo for a day on the way back from Asahikawa.
The MOMA had an exhibition about Sanrio that opened that day.
The MOMA had an exhibition about Sanrio that opened that day.
The ticket queue wound around this sculpture composed of Hello Kitty dolls,
There was a section dedicated to the history of the company
Including this retelling of Red Riding Hood
in which I'm pretty sure they eat the wolf at the end
There was this child's desk setup for unexplained reasons
And a giant Hello Kitty
Displays about some of the more profitable popular characters
which you may or may not have heard of
as well as about 16 of these posters that showed all the other characters that didn't quite make it into the popular consciousness
Including the possibly poorly named "Spunky Burro"
Kuromi is some sort of "evil" rabbit (for values of evil that suit characters made for 4 year old children)
Berry themed Kitties
A dress made of hello kitty plushes
And this giant my melody
An illumination inside a building where we went for dinner
The same building had the entry/exit to the Ferris wheel
Illumination outside our hotel
The Ferris wheel as seen from my room
